Lactation Consult- Postnatal Home Visit
If you are at home needing help with breastfeeding your baby, you can make an appointment for Amber to come to your house to see you to give you the support, education and reassurance you need. Approximately a 90 minute appointment.
Cost: $200, with medicare rebate of approx $73 (if eligible) in the first six weeks after your baby’s birth
Includes: A follow up phone call a few days after the session
Follow up session: $150 (approx 60 minutes- medicare rebate also available within the first 6 weeks)
Breastfeeding Planning Session
Breastfeeding Planning Session’s are one to one sessions online, they are a Breastfeeding class + Antenatal Breastfeeding Consult combined!
In this session we will discuss your goals around breastfeeding, any concerns you have around breastfeeding, and education of how to best set yourself up for breastfeeding, with all the essential topics to know about such as Antenatal Expressing, The Breast Crawl, Positioning and Attachment, Milk Coming In, When to feed your baby and how to know if they are getting enough? Managing full, engorged breasts, nipple pain, what to do if having issues and so much more!
Together, we create a breastfeeding plan of things to do if breastfeeding is going well and what to do if challenges arise, setting up your postpartum plan & showing your partner/ support person how to support you. Save your money on buying all the ‘products’ and learn the very few things you actually need. We talk breast pumps/ pumping & what this looks like for you, and seeking professional support if you need.
This class is for anyone who’s having a baby and wanting to breastfeed, if this is your first baby, it will help you feel educated & empowered and best set you up for breastfeeding, if you have had a baby before and had a challenging breastfeeding experience in the past or need a refresher, this will also be so beneficial.
